Jason Barnes is part of the Superb Marketing team, focussing on Internal and External documentation and communications as well as Customer Experience.

Jason has been using computers for over 20 years and adds almost 15 years of experience using the Internet, as well as nearly 10 years working in the Internet Industry. Having grown up using computers and the Internet, Jason has a unique understanding of the way things work online and the direction they are taking. He is involved in the Vancouver Tech community, helping co-host informal networking events with nPost.com, and has an interest in emerging Internet trends and technologies, which he writes about in his blog, JayAndSilentRob.com.

Despite completing a Bachelor of Science degree (Biology, Chemistry), Jason’s interest in the Internet was fostered during his University career while working for a local ISP. After graduation, he spent over two years working with an Internet start-up followed by a year working with a Managed Services Provider. Jason has filled a variety of roles through his work, including Customer Service, Sales, and Communications.

When away from his computer, Jason is likely to be found at a local soccer field. He finished four years of varsity soccer, has coached different youth and adult teams, and is currently managing and playing for a team in the Fraser Valley Premier League. Having enjoyed his college experience, Jason also finds time to volunteer with his Alumni Association and sits on their Board of Directors as the Chair of the Fundraising Committee.
