I never said dual core CPUs were obsolete, just check out http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php and you'll see the Xeon 5160 ranking #7 out of all available CPUs.
I was simply stating that your topic is well behind the cutting edge; as is demonstrated by the fact that the article you were reviewing is over 1 1/2 years old.

While I appreciate your opinion, dual core servers are definitely not obsolete. Most major hosting companies have the Woodcrest available, like Superb, and the article is a good, objective comparison of the CPU that can help customers make an educated decision and better understand the technology.

As far as content is concerned, it is true that a majority of articles should include original content and opinions, but technical comparisons of products we provide from an unbiased, third-party are necessary, too. A big part of the blog is to be an information resource, and unfortunately, it's not realistic for us to be able to cover all aspects of that on our own.

Regardless, I was already looking to include a second article on the Clovertown later this week - the same article you mention, actually - but I need to space out the publishing of the articles.

Are you seriously doing a write up of an article that is 1 1/2 years old, on an IT topic? Dual core server CPUs are in no way cutting edge any more.

If you want to write about something relevant, you could have found plenty of other articles, without even leaving www.anandtech.com
How about Intel's Clovertown (quad core Xeon) CPUs http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=2957
Or maybe AMDs quad core Barcelona http://www.anandtech.com/IT/showdoc.aspx?i=3091
Or how about a review of the newest quad core from Intel as it compares to the current gen Barcelona http://www.anandtech.com/IT/showdoc.aspx?i=3099

If you're trying to create a blog that other people will actually read, regurgitating articles isn't the way to go. You need to come up with content and opinions of your own.
